Palaly Military hospital was sanctified on Full Moon Poya day by Major General S.D. Tennakoon, Commander Security Forces Headquarters, Jaffna when he gifted a Buddha statue to be placed inside the newly built shrine room at the hospital premises.
The statue was donated by Ven. Ratnapura Nanda Thera, Chief Incumbent Sariputtha Maha Vihara, Ratnapura on an initiative taken by the monk himself.
After Pansil and a religious talk by Ven Kalawane Ananda and Ven. Ellawela Upathissa Theros, Major General Tennekoon, Senior Officers and Other Ranks made offerings to the statue.
