The Awarding Ceremony of 17th Buddha Rashmi Vesak Zone was held on Friday (16 May) evening with the participation of a distinguished gathering organized by the Gangaramaya temple in collaboration with President's and Prime Minister's office.
The event was graced by Honorable Mr. Gamagedara Dissanayake, the Deputy Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs as the Chief Guest.
The event was attended by Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retired) WWV, RWP and two Bars, RSP and Bar, USP, MMSc (Strat Stu-China), MSc (Def Stu) in Mgt, MSc (Def & Strat Stu), fndu (China), psc, Secretary to the Ministry of Defence along with Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army.
During the event, the cash prices were presented to the first three places. Clergy, Government Officials, Senior Officers and dignitaries participated in the event.
