Brigadier W.K Nanayakkara (Rtd) of the Gajaba Regiment passed away on Sunday (28 April 2024) due to a brief illness at the Colombo Army Hospital, Narahenpita. He was 86 years of age at the time of his demise.
The mortal remains of the departed officer reposed at Jayaratne VIP Parlour (Lotus Parlour), Colombo for the last respect. His funeral with full military honours will take place on 29 April 2024 at Mount Lavinia General Cemetery crematorium at 5.00 pm.
