Brigadier K Attanayake (Retd) Laid to Rest

The military funeral of late Brigadier K. Attanayake (Retd) of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (SLASC) who passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday (20) took place at Colombo General Cemetery Saturday (23) afternoon, amid a large gathering of senior Army Officers and mourners.

During his career, he held many appointments, including Commanding Officer 1 SLASC, Centre Commandant SLASC, Colonel Commandant SLASC, Director Supply and Transport Officiating Quarter Master General at the Army Headquarters.

Brigadier K. Attanakayake, joined the Sri Lanka Army on 01 September 1967 was posted to the SLASC.
