Brigadier Sisira Pilapitiya assumed duties as the 19th Colonel of the Regiment of the Vijayabhahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) amidst religious observances at his office in the VIR Regimental Headquarters at Boyagane on Friday (17).
He is currently serving as the Director Personnel Administration of the Army HQ in addition to the new office.
A simple ceremony at the VIR Regimental HQ saw Brigadier Pilapitiya signify the acceptance of his new office by signing a formal document to that effect.
