Brigadier Kanishka Heiyanthuduwa of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment assumed office on Thursday (8) as the 32nd Director, Directorate of Welfare at the Army Headquarters during a brief ceremony.
After brief religious observances, the newly-appointed Director Welfare left his signature in an official document, signifying the acceptance of his new office.
Staff Officers in the Directorate and Other Ranks attended the inauguration of the new office.
He succeeded Brigadier Sanath Aluwihare who has now been appointed as the Commandant, Combat Training School, Ampara. Brigadier Heiyantuduwa served as Director, Disaster Management Centre at the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff, prior to this new appointment. bridge media | nike fashion
