Troops of the 12 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) serving the Security Force Headquarters- Mullattivu (SFHQ- MLT) organized a Bodhi Pooja on Wednesday (01) at the Muladeepa Viharaya on account of Esala Poya Day.
Venerable Polonnaruwe Thilakarankara Thero, Chief Incumbent at Kiriibbanwewa Temple conducted a sermon for the troops and invoked merits on fallen War Heroes and blessings on disable soldiers, serving Army personnel and their family members.
Major General P.U.S Vithanage, Commander, SFHQ-MLT together with many officers and other ranks participated in day’s religious programme.
Moreover, Major General P.U.S Vithanage hoisted flag at the SFHQ premises on Monday (2), 1st working day of July symbolizing inauguration of work of the month of July.
All the officers and other ranks of the SFHQ-MLT attended the occasion.
