The termination ceremony of the ‘Basic Tamil Language Course Number - II’ which was initiated under the direction of Major General J.P.C Peiris RWP RSP ndc , the Commander Security Forces (Wanni), was held at the 1 Military Intelligence Corps in Vavuniya on 23 November 2024 with the gracious patronage of Colonel R.M Subasingha RSP, the Colonel General Staff- Security Force, Wanni.
The ceremony marked the end of the course which continued for one month under the direct supervision of Brigadier K.M.V Kodituwakku, the Brigadier General Staff, Security Force -Wanni.
The event was decorated with items displayed by students from all units in, Security Forces (Wanni) which highlighted their linguistic enhancement and interest.
39 males and two female soldiers representing several Regiments of the Sri Lanka Army followed the course enthusiastically and with a notable interest.
Private K.G.N.S Dilrangi of 2 (V) Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corp was awarded as the best student of the course.
