Basic Marksmanship Course - 217 Concludes at MSTS

The Basic Marksmanship Course - 217 concluded successfully in a formal ceremony at the Marksmanship and Sniper Training School (MSTS), Diyatalawa, on 07 December 2024. This training program, which commenced on 11 November 2024, equipped 16 Officers and 85 Other Ranks with essential marksmanship skills.

Brigadier R.P. Munipura RWP RSP graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest and delivered the concluding remarks, commending the participants for their dedication and performance during the course.

The top achievers of the course were:

• 1st Place: Lieutenant A.M.M.I. Adhikarinayake of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry

• 2nd Place: Lance Corporal R.M.I.K. Rathnayake of the Commando Regiment

• 3rd Place: Corporal N.G.D.J.P. Jayawardhena of the Special Forces
