Bangladesh High Commissioner Pays Courtesy Call on Army Chief

The High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Sri Lanka, HE Andalib Elias, paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army on 20 November 2024.

During their brief meeting at the Commander’s office, the visiting High Commissioner and the Commander of the Army engaged in a productive discussion on various bilateral matters of mutual interest and importance.

Their cordial conversation also highlighted the important of maintaining Army to Army interaction as a part of healthy diplomatic relations.

The meeting concluded with the exchange of mementoes, symbolising the goodwill between the two parties. To commemorate the occasion, the High Commissioner signed the visitors' book, marking the end of the interaction.

Defense attache to the Bangladesh High Commissioner in Sri Lanka Commodore M. Moniruzzaman was also present at the occasion.
