A group of 26 Student Officers following the Senior Command Course (SCC) at Buttala Army War College (AWC) as part of their curriculum made a familiarization visit to the Combat Training School (CTS) in Ampara on Saturday (29 July 2023).
The CTS Commandant, Brigadier D.R.N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP after a welcome made those visitors to watch a presentation, related to the practices at a military funeral, conduct of military salutes in Guard Turnouts and a Guard of Honour plus drill formats associated with such occasions.
In addition, the Senior Instructor of the War College in Buttala, Colonel T.W.G.D.M Amarasinghe RWP psc along with 04 other Officer Instructors joined demonstration of military drills.
Those visiting Student Officers before their departure presented an appreciative memento to the CTS Commandant, Brigadier D.R.N Hettiarachchi, RWP RSP USP.
