Awareness Programmes on Mind Healing Held at SFHQ - MLT

An awareness lecture on mitigation of mental stress and motivation of the mind in order to educate all Senior Officers under command to the Security Force HQ - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) got underway on Tuesday (23) at the Security Force HQ - Mullaittivu auditorium.

This project was initiated on a concept of the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva.

Organized on the instructions of Major General Deepthi Jayathilake, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu, the lecture session was attended by more than 35 Officers working in all Divisions, Brigades and formations under the SFHQ-MLT.

Brigadier R.M.M Monaragala, Major U.G Mallawarachchi, Captain S.M.P.K Samarakoon, Lieutenant P.A.C.P.K Peduruarachchi, Lieutenant H.G.N Deshapriya and Lieutenant S.V.R de Silva educated the troops by delivering lectures. Directorate of Preventive Medicine and Mental Health and Directorate of Psychological Operations jointly organized the workshop that aims to promote mental health of Officers.
