Army Base Hospital, Narahenpita conducted an awareness program on ‘Non-Communicable Diseases’ aiming to educate the troops of Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps Regimental Centre on 24 April 2024.
The educative session was launched under the guidance of the Executive Coordinating Officer of the ‘Healthy Army Healthy Nation’ program.
The troops were accordingly enlightened on non-communicable diseases, healthy diet and nutrition, and early detection and prevention of cancers. Brigadier (Dr) A. S. M Wijewardena USP MBBS MRCP (UK) FRCP(UK) Bvt Colonel (Dr) B. L Ranasinghe KSP, Major A.C.K Udugama conducted the sessions.
10 Officers and 75 Other Rankers of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps participated in the awareness programme.
