Fifteen Quartermasters (QMs) who recently completed Quartermaster Course No. 6 at the Army Logistics School were warmly welcomed into the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF). Major General M.K Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndc, the Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force provided insights regarding subjects relevant to their career progression.
The commencement of the two-day awareness program initiated on 03 January 2024, featuring opening remarks delivered by Major General M.T.K.R Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force. The program focused on educating the QMs on administrative concerns from enlistment to retirement including the topics such as Volunteer Force Regulations, Quartermaster Career Progression, Posting Procedure and Examinations, Mess Etiquettes, and Ordnance Procedure.
