An awareness programme organized by 56 Division in coordination with ‘Success’ Sri Lanka organization, on cultivation of passion fruit cultivation as a self-employment project for Bogaswewa civilians was introduced last Wednesday (28 Aug).
Meanwhile, extending its social welfare initiatives, Sri Lanka Army laid foundation stones for construction of three new houses for selected low income families with the support ‘Success Sri Lanka’ organization in Bogaswewa area on the same day (28).
Furthermore, financial donations to the value of Rs. 5000 each were distributed among five pre-school teachers in Bogaswewa area.
Ven Etambagaskada Kalyanatissa Nayaka Thero, Brigadier D.A.R Ranawaka, General Officer Commanding, 56 Division, Brigadier A.A.I.J Bandara, Brigade Commander, 563 Brigade, Dr L Weerasinghe, Chairman, ‘Success’ Sri Lanka organization, Dr Shirani Jayasinghe, Dr Jeewaka Bandara, Dr Ranjan Muhandiram and a large number of civilians participated in the event.
