Following instructions given by Brigadier M.D Wijesundara, General Officer Commanding, 66 Infantry Division, a special awareness programme, designed to educate the troops on 'Forest Conservation' was conducted recently at the Battalion Training School - Arasapurakulam.
More than 130 troops, including officers in the 66 Division area participated in the programme, conducted by Mr Mahesh Senanayaka - District Forest Officer, Mr E.S Sepala, Regional Forest Officer, Mr R.D.A.S Pushpadasa and Mrs Beugine, Forest Extension Officer of the Department of Forestry in Kilinochchi.
