Australian INGO Supports Disable War Heroes

An 18-member delegation of the ‘World Community Service Helping Hands Project’ of Australia currently in Sri Lanka to provide assistance to disable War Heroes of the Sri Lanka Army by way of donating artificial limbs to 108 disable War Heroes called at the Ranaviru Sevana, Ragama (Rehabilitation Centre) Friday (1) morning. 

Those representatives from their International Non Governmental Organization (INGO) at the request of the Directorate of Rehabilitation, have offered 108 stock of artificial limbs to 99 disable War Heroes during a simple ceremony. 

The project was successfully coordinated by Major General Susil Chandrapala (Retd) along with Brigadier S.K Thirunakarasu, Director Rehabilitation and Brigadier H. Kulatunge, Commandant at Ranaviru Sevana, Ragama. 

The visiting donors, led by Mr Terry Daley, Manager of World Community Service Helping Hands Project exchanged a few thoughts with handicapped War Heroes and officers in the of Ranaviru Sevana assured continued support for the well-being of those disable War Heroes by providing artificial limbs.  

Major General Susil Chandrapala (Retd), Brigadier S.K Thirunakarasu, Director Rehabilitation and Brigadier H.  Kulatunge, Commandant, Ranaviru Sevana, Ragama and several senior officers attended the arrangement.
