Australian Dy Commander Joint Operations Calls at Army Headquarters

Major General Roger Noble, Deputy Commander Joint Operations of the Australian Navy currently in Sri Lanka aboard the Australian ship ‘HMAS Canberra’ which has called at the Colombo port under the Indo-Pacific Endeavour - 2019 of the Australia & Sri Lanka Defence Agreement with 1000 Navy, Army and Air Force personnel of the Australian armed forces paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake on Thursday (28) afternoon at the Army Headquarters.

During the meeting, the Commander of the Army expressed his best wishes on their expedition and underlined the importance of maintaining cooperation with Australian Defence Forces and the Sri Lankan ones for the sake of shared security interests in the Indian Ocean.

Towards the end of the friendly meeting, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake presented a memento to the visiting Australian Officer as a token of goodwill and understanding.
