The Army Training School (ATS) at Maduru Oya on account of Vesak undertook a meritorious project at Sarana Elders’ Home at Sandunpura on Saturday (6) and carried out diverse services to make them happy and comfortable.
ATS troops as part of the programme bathed those elderly people, cleaned them and their clothes, shaved them, trimmed nails, gave haircuts, collected garbage and pollutants in the compound, did electric repairs inside the location and offered medical assistance by way of a mobile clinic.
The project was made possible on the guidelines given by Brigadier K.A.W.N.H Bandaranayaka USP, the Commandant, ATS. Officers and Other Ranks jointly participated in the project and the administration of the elders’ home appreciated the Army’s contribution for the benefit of those elderly people.
