Following the conceptual layout of Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, President of Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) and the supervision of Brigadier N Mahawithana KSP Brigadier (Coordinating), a blood sugar monitor was generously donated to an ailing mother of Late Corporal E.N Silva of 1 Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) on today (30 Apr) at her residence in Athulkotte.
Late Corporal E.N Silva of 1 SLAWC bravely sacrificed her life during a terrorist attack on 02 January 1997 at Thirunelweli while she was attached to Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP).
The donation event was attended by senior officers of ASVU, including Staff Officer I (Admin), as well as Officers and members of the beneficiary’s family.
