Aruna Darshana of the Sri Lanka Army has officially qualified to compete in the 400-metre event at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Although he started the Road to Paris Games ranked 51st, he missed the first cutoff of the top 48 competitors who were guaranteed a spot. After eagerly awaiting updates regarding withdrawals or injuries, Darshana's wish has finally come true. Sri Lanka Athletics received an email from World Athletics informing them of his selection.
