ARTRAC’s New Commander Begins Duties

Major General Nishantha Manage assumed office as the new Commander of the Sri Lanka Army Training Command (ARTRAC) at Diyatalawa on 30 October 2021.

Brigadier Udaya Herath, Director Concept and Monitoring along with other Senior Staff Officers of the ARTRAC welcomed the new ARTRAC Commander on his arrival at the ARTRAC HQ.

After self-administering religious observances, Major General Nishantha Manage symbolically initialed a formal document pertaining to his assumption of duties in the presence of several Senior Officers.

After a while, the new Commander was invited to plant a sapling near the main entrance of the ARTRAC HQ complex before he delivered a formal address to the Staff Officers at the ARTRAC.

Major General Nishantha Manage, prior to this appointment served as the General Officer Commanding of the 53 Division of the 1 Corps of the Army. He also was the coordinator for COVID -19 preventive operations in Matale District during his tenure at the 53 Division HQ.
