Artificial Limbs Given Free to Kilinochchi Civilians

Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) together with the Centre for the Handicapped, Kandy gave away a stock of artificial limbs to needy handicapped persons in Kilinochchi area during an event at the Harmony Centre, Kilinochchi on Friday (15).

As the first stage of the programme, selected 30 disable persons were donated limbs free of charge on the recommendation of respective Grama Niladaris.

The programme was held on the directions of Major General Amal Karunasekara, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi (SF-KLN) in close cooperation with the donors.

The programme was sponsored by Dr S. S Aththanayake, Head of the Centre for the Handicapped together with his team.

Lieutenant Colonel Thusitha Silva, Chief Coordinator Civil Affairs, SFHQ-KLN and Army personnel attended the humanitarian project.
