Army Woman Cricketers Enter Semi Finals

Excellent all round performances of the Army Women’s Cricket Team beat Badulla Marrons Cricket Club by 7 wickets in the Women’s Division II Cricket Tournament match, organized by Sri Lanka Cricket on Tuesday(8).

With this victory, the Army Women’s Cricketers qualified for the semi finals of the tournament.

Batting first, Badulla Marrons Cricketers were bundled out for 71 runs in 28.4 overs due to excellent bowling performances of the Army Woman cricketers. Private H.M.G. Bandara took 3 for 06 while Private M.S. Sewwandi took 3 for 15.

In reply, the Army Women’s Cricket Team scored 75 runs for loss of 3 wickets in 10.1 overs. Private H.M.M.G.D.B. Hindagoda top scored with an unbeaten 33 runs.

The semi final match of the Women’s Division II Cricket Tournament between Army Cricket Team and Navy Cricket Team will be played on Thursday(9) at Moors Grounds, Colombo.
