Army War College Installs RO Plant to Supply Drinking Water to Troops

To provide drinking water for the troops at the Army War College (AWC), a new Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant was installed at the premises on 12 December 2024 during a simple ceremony under the guidance of Major General H.H.K.S.S Hewage RWP RSP USP rcds psc, Commandant of the Army War College.

The installation of the RO plant addresses a long-felt need at the AWC, as it will help prevent chronic kidney disease (CKD) among the troops due to poor-quality drinking water. The new RO plant can supply 5,000 liters of water per day.
