Three new children’s parks for use of Tamil school students in three separate schools in the Vavuniya district under 611 Brigade Headquarters were opened on Tuesday (27).
Sponsored by Alliance Development Trust, Army troops did the ground work and set up those children’s parks inside Vavuniya Tharanikulam Ganesh Maha Vidyalaya, Vavuniya Kodandanochchikulam Tamil Junior School and Vavuniya Palamoddai Tamil Junior School.
All those three children’s parks were opened and handed over to school authorities during three simple ceremonies, headed by Brigadier A.Kariyakarawana, General Officer Commanding 61 Division, Brigadier K.G.D Perera, 611 Brigade Commander and several leading civilians in the area.
