A Kabaddi tournament was organized between the soldiers of the Security Force Headquarters Mullattivu (SFHQ - MLT) and a few civil sport clubs in Mullattivu area on the directions of the Commander SFHQ (MLT), Major General Jagath Dias.
19 Gemunu Watch (GW) and 14 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) teams were selected for the final, out of all 20 teams who represented the SFHQ (MLT). 8 civil sports clubs also participated in the 1st round.
19 GW clinched the victory receiving 28 points defeating the14 VIR team which scored 20 in the final round. It was held at 7GR headquarters in of 682 Brigade on Monday (13). Major General Jagath Dias awarded trophies and certificates to the winners.
A large number of civilians and troops gathered there to watch the finals. It was organized with the intention of improving the talents of the troops and to promote the relations between the Army and the civilians.
