Army Tattoo Continues to Draw Spectators in Thousands; Navy Commander, the Chief Guest of its Third Day

THE Army Tattoo continued for its third successive day on Monday (19) at Kettarama with attendance of the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Thisara Samarasinghe as Chief Guest.

Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya received the Chief Guest who hoisted the National flag prior to opening the tattoo.

The Army Commandos had to however postpone their para jump, the first and most expected event of the audience to the next day due to adverse weather conditions.

However, soldiers with their female counterparts performed all other adventurous and cultural events despite intermittent showers amidst the applause of the audience.

President Seva Vanitha Army Branch Mrs. Manjulika Jayasuriya, President Seva Vanitha Navy Branch Mrs. Malathie Samarasinghe and a large crowd of spectators were present on the occasion.
