Army Swimmers Win Overall Men’s Championship

The Sri Lanka Army Men’s Swimming Team for the 4th consecutive year held the forte and defended its unbroken victory at the National Annual 10km Open Swimming Championship - 2022 at Balapitiya beach, organized by the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union (SLASU).

Representing 8 island-wide sports clubs, more than 72 swimmers participated in the event. The Army men’s team secured 17 places out of 20 slots.

Major General Nishantha Manage, Director General General Staff and Chairman, Sri Lanka Army Aquatic Sports Committee encouraged all the attendees for participation as per directions of General Shavendra Silva, Chief Defence Staff and Commander of the Army.
