The 46th National Age Group Swimming Championship 2022 got underway during 8-11 June at Sugathadasa Stadium Swimming Pool where both male and female Army swimmers shone well securing many Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals.
The 2nd Lieutenant H.D.A Peiris of Gajaba Regiment set a National Record in 50m Backstroke clocking 26.24 seconds.
Similarly, Men's Open Best Swimmer title was won by Private R.G.A Karunanayaka of 2(V) Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers grabbing 5 Gold Medal & 2 Silver Medals.
