Camouflaged Combat Soldiers and Snipers of the Marksmanship and Sniper Training school, Diyatalawa, display of two Special Forces Motorbike Riders with weapons, display of Gun Salutes using 76 Pounders by Artillery Regiment troops were among the highlights that went on the boards during the Yatinuwara Divisional Secretariat-organized ‘Diyawaraka Aswenna’ Cultural Festival-2019 at Sunil S Abeysundara ground, Kadugannawa during 5-6 September.
Those spectacles, presented by the Army on both days attracted the popular attention of the crowds that thronged the cultural show. In addition, the Army kept a recruitment office open for those potential recruits on the site.
Major General Senerath Bandara, General Officer Commanding 11 Division was also present during the inaugural occasion.
