The International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) Open Handgun Championship - 2022, conducted between 17 - 20 March had its prize awarding ceremony on Sunday (20) at Panaluwa, Firing Range.
The championship, kicked off under four age categories, such as Junior, Youth, Senior and Super Senior was competed by 201 shooters representing 15 different firing clubs including the Army, Navy and the Air Force.
The Sri Lanka Army shooters secured 4 Gold medals, 10 Silver medals and 1 Bronze medal while the Air Force won 3 Gold medals, 1 Silver medal and 3 Bronze medals. Similarly, Sri Lanka Navy won 4 Gold medals and 4 Bronze medals.
It was conducted under the Open Division, Standard Division, Production Division Production Optical Division and the Classic Division.
