On account of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, 50 civil employees serving in the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) at the Army HQ were awarded gift packs at Army HQ premises on Monday (17) where a customary tea table was opened for the staff and civil employees at the ASVU office premises.
This distribution programme was organized by Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the ASVU on the instructions of the President ASVU Mrs Janaki Liyanage with the coordination of Brigadier N Mahavithana KSV, Brigadier Coordinating of ASVU.
During the tea table, Mrs Janaki Liyanage met all the civil employees and shared a few thoughts with them, extending New Year greetings.
