The Annual Open Water Sea Swimming Championship, conducted by the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union from 22 to 23 February 2025 at Beach Park, Port City, Colombo, concluded successfully.
The Army Sports Club, under the guidance of Dr. Ghefari Dulapandan, achieved remarkable success by securing three out of four championship trophies.
During the tournament, Private N.H.A De Silva of the Sri Lanka Army Service Corps won gold in the Women’s 10km Open Water Race, while Private R.B.D Niroshana of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police secured third place in the Men’s 10km Open Water Race.
Private R.B.D Niroshana clinched gold in the Men’s 5km Open Water Race, while Private N.H.A De Silva secured fourth place in the Women’s 5km Open Water Race.
