Army Rowers Achieved Remarkable Success at the National Rowing Championship 2024

The Sri Lanka Army Rowers achieved remarkable success at the National Rowing Championship 2024, securing the overall championship in both the Men's and Women's categories.

During overall competition, they clinched 10 gold medals, 03 silver medals, and 01 bronze medal, showcasing their dominance at the Diyawannawa Rowing Centre from 03 to 05 April 2024. Organized by the Amateur Rowing Association of Sri Lanka, the three-day event witnessed intense competition from tri-services, clubs, universities, and schools.

Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, the General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division and the Chairman, Army Rowing Committee witnessed the final event of the competition.

Notably, Army competitors won gold medals in all 10 events they participated in, highlighting their prowess in rowing.
