The ‘Magasthota Festival of Speed - 2023’ held during 8 - 9 April 2023 in Nuwara Eliya, Magasthota Hill Climb Motor Track enabled participants of the Sri Lanka Army Motor Sports Committee to win several trophies, beating a few hundreds of riders, drawn from many corners of the island.
Following riders shone in three events as follows:
Corporal J.M.S Jayalath of Corps of Engineer Services secured the 3rd place in the 125cc up to 250 cc (speed trail bike open event).
Corporal B.I Maduranga of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police won the 1st place in the SM-Super Motard 250/450 cc open event in addition to his 3rd place in the Sport Touring 600cc open event.
Private L.B.D Senevirathne of Gajaba Regiment secured the 3rd place in the SM - Super Motard 250/450cc open event.
The Chairman, Sri Lanka Army Motor Sports Committee provided necessary facilities, guidance and inspiration to the riders.
