Sri Lanka Army has launched its newest recruitment drive in search of skilled soldiers who could serve the organization as store men, clerks, chefs, drivers, riders, technical men and as tradesmen in several other spheres.Accordingly, those males in the age range of 18-26 years with the birth certificate, student index, educational certificates, Grama Seva certificate and two character certificates of not more than 6 months old, certificates of vocational skills, National Identity Card, could reach following Army establishments before 30 June 2014 and face walk-in interviews between 8 a.m. - 4.00 p.m.;

(b). Sri Lanka Light Infantry - Regimental Hqrs, Panagoda
(c). Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment - Regimental Hqrs, Ambepussa
(d). Gemunu Watch - Regimental Hqrs, Kuruwita
(e). Gajaba Regiment - Regimental Hqrs, Saliyapura, Anuradhapura
(f). Vijayabahu Infantry - Regiment Regimental Hqrs, Boyagane, Kurunegala
(g). Mechanized Infantry Regiment - Regimental Hqrs, Kekirawa
Those recruits after training are entitled to a monthly salary of Rs 45,213.40, inclusive of all perks and allowances, in addition to the provision of uniforms, ration, loan facilities, medical facilities, annual increments, transport, welfare, insurance, married quarters, sports facilities, etc once recruited to the Army. Besides opportunities for serving peace keeping missions in foreign lands are also available together with many other privileges.
