WANNI: ARMY troops engaged in search and clear operations recovered four T-56 weapons, thirty-nine claymore mines, four suicide jackets, 50 g of TNT explosives, 200 m long detonator code, 50 kg of C-4 explosives, four rounds of Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) ammunition, one RPG charger, three thousand three hundred and three rounds of T-56 ammunition, thirteen Multi Propose Machine Gun (MPMG) links, one hundred and five electric detonators, three hundred pouches, two hundred and forty-five hand grenades, twenty jackets, fifty-five pairs of trousers, fifty-five shirts, twenty-six caps, one shotgun, one RPG launcher, four 120 mm mortar bombs, one anti personnel mine, twenty-six rounds of 12.7 mm ammunition, two 60 mm mortar bombs, one 40 mm cartridge, one remote controller and nine LTTE uniforms from the general areas of IRANAMADU, KALAVANCHIKULAM, KOKAVIL, PUTHUKKUDIYIRUPPU and SUGANDIPURAM on Thursday (13).
In the meantime, VAVUNIYA Police on information recovered one suicide jacket, three timers, three remote controllers, three antennas and a metal plate hidden in front of a hotel on the 2nd Cross Street in VAVUNIYA town.
