Army QRRT in Colombo to Check Body Temperature

Sri Lanka Army’s Quick Reaction Rider Team (QRRT) in a bid to further strengthen the ongoing preventive mechanism against COVID-19 transmission in Colombo district and its suburbs on a directive given by Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Head of the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, is now engaged in carrying out random temperature checks on people in congested areas.

The soldiers in the QRRT this morning (27) operated in Rajagiriya, Modera, Maligawatta, Gotatuwa, Pettah, Mattakkuliya, Maradana and Angoda areas and checked temperature levels of people using non-contact temperature assessment devices as part of an initial check to identify and triage people who may have elevated temperatures.

The novel practice that would promptly diagnose potential persons with abnormal temperature who are unaware of their infection condition has simultaneously devised a resultant mechanism which could direct such individuals immediately to the respective hospitals for necessary onward arrangements.

The project, now in operation has been facilitated by the Directorate of Army Operations, and the Army urges the public on essential services to cooperate with those QRRT members who would reach you for your own safety to randomly conduct such temperature checks.Nike sneakers | Entrainement Nike
