The All Island ‘Shakthi’ Power Lifting Championships -2015 took place on 1 August at Maithree Hall, Bandaragama with the participation of 8 teams.Sri Lanka Army fielded 2 teams for the tournament where they showed exceptional skills. The Army ‘A’ team emerged as the overall champions of the tournament and won commendations.
The Army power lifters bagged 8 gold medals, 2 silver medals and one bronze medal. In addition, 5 new national records were also made by the Army power-lifters during the tournament.
