Army Personnel Learn to Protect Environment

Troops to the 23 Division serving the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) organized a workshop, themed ‘Conserving Environment’ on Monday (25).

After hoisting the National Flag by the General Officer Commanding (GOC), Major General D.D.U.K Hettiarachchi at the 23 Division Headquarters, the programme commenced.

This workshop was conducted by three lecturers at the Central Environmental Authority, namely Mr M.D Jayavilal, Deputy Director General, Mr Premarathne Dissanayake, Deputy Director and Mr Wasantha Bandara, Senior Environmentalist.

More than 500 officers and other ranks serving the Division, Brigades and Units participated in the lecture session.
