Army Personnel Educated on Indigenous Agriculture Management

The certificate awarding ceremony of the training programme on Indigenous Agriculture Management Course ‘Hela Govikam’ got underway at the Centre for Army Vocational Training (CAVT) at the CAVT, Kala Oya for selected 35 Army personnel on Tuesday (10).

This agriculture course was designed to enhance awareness on ancestral and indigenous cultivation practices and knowledge on agriculture.

During the course, Army personnel also learnt about both theoretical and practical aspects on cultivation of plants and agriculture management systems.

The certificate awarding ceremony on Tuesday (10) was held at the CAVT in Kala Oya with the participation of Brigadier K.A.W Kumarapperuma, CAVT Commandant, Kalaoya along with Lieutenant Colonel Shashika Perera, Commanding Officer, CAVT and several officials.
