Several representatives from the All Island Army Pensioners’ Welfare Association (AIAPA) met the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva at the Army Headquarters Monday (01) evening in order to discuss welfare matters concerning them and their families.
Lieutenant Colonel (Retd) R.M. Premarathne, President, AIAPA, together with Major (Retd) L.A.M. Premachandra, Captain (QM) (Retd) W.N. Pathiraja and Warrant Officer II (Retd) G.W. Lucas Fernando attended the meeting.
Commander of the Army after giving them a patient hearing, assured them of all possible assistance and support for resolution of their grievances.
Major General E.M.M. Ambanpola, Deputy Chief of Staff and Major General Mahesh Senanayake, Military Secretary attended the meeting.
