A Scholarship awarding ceremony for ten selected students was held at Pandiyankulam MV School in Pandiyankulam, Mankulam in Mulaitivu District last Monday (25). Scholarships coordinated by the 612 Brigade were donated by the Dharma Drum Mountain Welfare and Charity Foundation of Taiwan.
Apart from the cheques worth Rs.10,000/= each handed over to the ten students, school bags and lunch packets were also distributed among the students of Pandiyankulam MV at this simple ceremony.
Brigade Commander 612 Brigade Colonel K. N. S. Kotuwegoda, Project Coordinator Jean Chen, Commanding Officer 24 Gajaba Regiment Lieutenant Colonel D. U. N. Serasinghe and other officials of Dharma Drum Mountain Welfare and Charity Foundation were present at the occasion.
