Army-Organized Mobile Medical Camp Treats Manipay Civilians

More than 200 civilians, resident in Manipay area in Jaffna were benefited, due to a mobile medical camp organized jointly at Manipay Green Memorial Hospital premises by the 511 Brigade Headquarters and troops of the 4 Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (SLAMC) of the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) on Monday (6).

The mobile medical clinic largely treated patients for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD), like blood pressure, allergies, influenza, arthritis, diabetes, dental check-ups, etc during the arrangement.

Seven medical officers, three staff members of the Green Memorial Hospital, Lieutenant Colonel Roshan Jayamanna, Commanding Officer, 4 SLAMC and his troops volunteered to make the medical camp a success. During the camp, a stock of medicine was also distributed free of charge among the patients who reached the mobile camp.

Colonel Chandana Wickramasinghe, Brigade Commander, 511 Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Sampath Samarathunga, Commanding Officer, 25 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR), Major Mudiyanselage Ananda, Commanding Officer, 15 (V) Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG), soldiers and civilians were present during the arrangement.
