Army Inter Regiment Athletic Meet Begins

The 52nd Inter Regiment Athletics Meet – 2015 of the Sri Lanka Army got underway on Tuesday morning (25) at the Sugathadasa National Stadium.

Major General Amal Karunasekara, Chairman, Sri Lanka Army Athletics Committee, ceremonially opened the event, amid a large gathering of athletes and officers.

1500 Army athletes from all Regiments will to participate in respective track and field events.

Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva at the invitation of Major General Amal Karunasekara, Chairman, Sri Lanka Army Athletics Committee will grace the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest on Thursday (27).
