More than 90 students from V/Roshan Mahanama Primary school and 100 students from Maradamaduwa Primary school in Weherathenna on Wednesday (12 April) were the recipients of school aids, books and accessories as incentives, sponsored jointly by the former world-class cricketer, Mr. Roshan Mahanama and Mr Diwakara Rathnadurai, Director, SOS Children’s Village at Anuradhapura.
The project launched as per guidelines given by Major General R. A. J. N Ranasinghe RSP USP ndc, General Officer Commanding, 62 Infantry Division got underway at V/Roshan Mahanama Primary School in Weherathenna after inviting students of both schools to one location.
Troops under the supervision of the Commander, 623 Infantry Brigade, Colonel B. D. R Budagoda USP made all arrangements for the distribution. Donors and representative donors joined the distribution.
Principals, teachers, parents and students attended this event.
