Army Hospital Launches Its 3rd Blood Collecting Campaign for the Year

270 Army & Civil personnel serving the organization together with family members on Thursday (6) voluntarily donated blood to be given to the National Blood Centre during 3rd blood donation campaign organized by the Colombo Army Hospital.

The campaign launched on the directions of Major General Sanjeewa Munasinghe, Director General Army Health Services was able to collect an amount of 270 pints at the time the programme ended at the Colombo Army Hospital.

A team of 10 medical officers and a nursing staff of the Colombo Army Hospital conducted medical examinations and collected blood from the donors during the event.

Premier International (Pvt) Ltd, Welikada, as a support to the programme gave each blood donor a complimentary T-shirt as a token of appreciation.

Several Senior Officers were present at the inaugural occasion of the programme.
