The Security Forces Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) recently made arrangements to get a new IT centre for the benefit of students at Vittakapuram, Kolankallady and Mavaikallady areas.
J/223 Vittakapuram Grama Niladhari’s office accommodated this new computer laboratory in order to help develop infrastructure of villages where new resettlement recently took place.
Mr. Roy Adhikaram of Jaffna Commercial Bank, responding to the Army request donated five new computers to this new centre with the sponsorship of the Bank.
Brigadier Buvaneka Randeniya, Commander 515 Brigade saw to its complete establishment with the blessings of the Commander SFHQ-J, Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe.
Jaffna Regional Manager Commercial Bank Mr. S.P. Rajeewan, Thelippalai Divisional Secretary Mr. S. Muralitharan, Managers of all Jaffna Commercial Bank branches, Brigadier General Staff of Headquarters SFHQ-J Brigadier Sumith Atapattu, Army officers, students and villagers attended the opening ceremony on August 4.
