SRI LANKA Army troops serving the east, as part of their civil coordination work took an initiative to get down volleyball coaches from Colombo to train students at Vakare Vidyalaya, Valachchena and youngsters in the area.
The coaching camp for students as well as for youths in the area took place during the weekend (June 13-14)
Several Sri Lanka Volleyball Association coaches actively helped Vakare Vidyalaya students during both days while Army coaches in cooperation with visiting coaches trained youngsters from different sports organizations in the area. Meals and refreshments were also provided by the Army during both days.
The training sessions have been organized by 233 Brigade on the instructions of the Commander of the Security Forces Headquarters, East.
